Batter

50 g butter
200 g half-white flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
2 eggs
2 dl milk water (1/2 milk, 1/2 water)

Waffles

a little clarified butter

Waffle sticks

125 g plain organic cream cheese
60 g ham slices

To garnish

½ bunch chives

How it's done

The kids can help at the marked areas .

Batter

50 g butter
200 g half-white flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
2 eggs
2 dl milk water (1/2 milk, 1/2 water)

Add the butter to a pan and melt over a medium heat, leave to cool slightly.Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl, create a well in the middle. Add the eggs, milky water and butter into the well, mix to form a smooth batter using a whisk.

Waffles

a little clarified butter

Heat the waffle iron, brush with a little clarified butter. Spoon approx. 3 heaped tablespoons of batter onto the waffle iron, cook for approx. 5 mins. Remove, leave the waffles to cool on a rack. Cook more waffles with the remaining batter. Cut the waffles lengthways into 6 equal rectangles.

Waffle sticks

125 g plain organic cream cheese
60 g ham slices

Place the cream cheese in a bowl and mix well, transfer to a piping bag with a smooth nozzle (approx. 10 mm in diameter). Dice the ham. Arrange the diced ham and cream cheese on the waffle sticks.

To garnish

½ bunch chives

Roughly chop the chives using scissors, sprinkle on top.
