To prepare

60 g butter

Filling

4 pears
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp sugar

Dough

250 g filo pastry

To serve

2 tbsp walnut kernels
1 tbsp liquid honey

How it's done

The kids can help at the marked areas .

To prepare

60 g butter

Melt the butter in a small pan, grease an ovenproof dish with a little butter.

Filling

4 pears
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp sugar

Roughly grate the pears using a rösti grater, place in a bowl. Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.

Dough

250 g filo pastry

Roll out the sheets of pastry, place 2 sheets of pastry on top of each other, brush the pastry with a little butter, sprinkle with a little cinnamon sugar. Spread 3 tbsp of the pear mixture on top. Gather the pastry together, place in the prepared dish. Repeat the process with the remainder of the pastry sheets, cinnamon sugar and pear mixture.

To bake

Approx. 35 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 200 °C. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly on a cooling rack.

To serve

2 tbsp walnut kernels
1 tbsp liquid honey

Roughly chop the walnuts, spread on top of the cake along with the honey, serve warm.
