Batter

100 g white flour
100 g wholegrain oat flour
40 g rolled oats
3 tbsp ground cane sugar
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
2 dl oat drink
2 fresh eggs

Apples

1 organic lemon
½ tbsp ground cane sugar
¼ tsp cinnamon
1 red-skinned apple

To cook the pancakes

How it's done

The kids can help at the marked areas .

Batter

100 g white flour
100 g wholegrain oat flour
40 g rolled oats
3 tbsp ground cane sugar
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp salt

Mix the flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a bowl, make a well in the middle.

2 dl oat drink
2 fresh eggs

Combine the oat drink and eggs, gradually pour into the well while whisking, continue to whisk until the batter is smooth. Cover the batter and leave to stand for approx. 30 mins.

Apples

1 organic lemon
½ tbsp ground cane sugar
¼ tsp cinnamon
1 red-skinned apple

Grate a little of the lemon zest into a small bowl, squeeze in 1 tbsp of juice. Add the sugar and cinnamon, mix. Core the apple, cut into thin slices, add, mix.

To cook the pancakes

clarified butter for frying

Heat a little clarified butter in a non-stick frying pan. Reduce the heat, pour enough batter into the pan to make pancakes of approx. 8 cm in diameter. Once the undersides are cooked and no longer stick to the pan, flip the pancakes and finish cooking. Cook the remaining pancakes in the same way. Serve the pancakes with the apple slices.

Serve with: Double cream or plain yoghurt
