Sandwiches

200 g double cream cheese (e.g. Filona)
1 tbsp liquid honey
1 crusty bread wreath (approx. 400 g)

Sandwich

6 leaf head lettuce
130 g turkey ham in slices

Turtles

15 cornichons
12 piece peppercorns

How it's done

The kids can help at the marked areas .

Sandwiches

200 g double cream cheese (e.g. Filona)
1 tbsp liquid honey
1 crusty bread wreath (approx. 400 g)

Mix the cream cheese and honey in a small bowl. Separate the bread wreath into rolls, cut them open horizontally. Set aside 1 tablespoon of cream cheese, spread the rolls with the remainder of the cream cheese.

Sandwich

6 leaf head lettuce
130 g turkey ham in slices

Place the lettuce and turkey ham on the bottom halves of the bread rolls.

Turtles

15 cornichons
12 piece peppercorns

Cut the gherkins in half lengthwise, spread the reserved cream cheese mixture on one end of 6 of the gherkins. Stick 2 peppercorns on each for the eyes, place a turtle head on each roll, and place the remaining gherkins on the rolls to look like legs. Cover with the top halves of the rolls.

Good to know
Note: If peppercorns are too spicy, you could use sultanas cut in half for the eyes instead.
