To prepare

200 g brown bread
200 g mild Gruyère

Spinach

1 tbsp olive oil
300 g leaf spinach
1 shallot
½ tsp salt
a little pepper

Bread

1 ½ tbsp honey mustard

Topping

120 g ham in slices

How it's done

The kids can help at the marked areas .

To prepare

200 g brown bread
200 g mild Gruyère

Cut the bread into eight slices. Roughly grate the cheese.

Spinach

1 tbsp olive oil
300 g leaf spinach
1 shallot
½ tsp salt
a little pepper

Heat the oil in a wide pan. Gradually add the spinach, allow to wilt. Peel and finely chop the shallots, sauté for approx. 3 mins., season, remove, place in a sieve, drain well, allow to cool slightly.

Bread

1 ½ tbsp honey mustard

Place the slices of bread on a baking tray lined with baking paper, spread with the mustard.

Topping

120 g ham in slices

Top the slices of bread with the ham. Arrange the spinach and cheese on top.

To bake

Approx. 10 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200 °C.
