Filling

125 g plain organic cream cheese
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp sugar or cane sugar

Rolls

8 slice toast bread
2 dl milk
2 fresh eggs

To fry

2 tbsp clarified butter
4 tbsp sugar or cane sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

How it's done

Filling

125 g plain organic cream cheese
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp sugar or cane sugar

Place the cream cheese, cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl, mix well.

Rolls

8 slice toast bread
2 dl milk
2 fresh eggs

Using a rolling pin, roll out the slices of bread to approx. 2 mm thick. Spread the filling on top, leaving a border of approx. 0.5 cm. Tightly roll up the slices of bread. Whisk the milk and eggs in a dish. Place the bread rolls in the egg mixture, allow to absorb for approx. 2 mins., turning once.

To fry

2 tbsp clarified butter
4 tbsp sugar or cane sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Heat the clarified butter in a wide, non-stick frying pan. Drain the bread rolls well, place them in the pan, reduce the heat, fry all over for approx. 6 mins. until golden brown. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a deep dish. Roll the hot cinnamon French toast rolls in the cinnamon sugar, plate up.
