The main feature of our children's birthday is the birthday table – this is the focal point and will impress the little ones from the outset. This is where the party begins and the kids can familiarize themselves with the rainbow theme, admire the decorations and get excited about their little gifts. Needless to say, the birthday boy or girl can expect lots of gifts, but we've also placed a little packet of rainbow seeds next to each child's name card. The children can take the seeds home with them and who knows, maybe they'll have a rainbow growing at home soon!
To go with the rainbow theme, we have blown up pastel-coloured balloons, scattered edible decorations on the table and poured rainbow juice (FOOBY's rhubarb syrup) into little bottles with coloured straws.
For younger kids, we have filled glasses with rainbow juice and decorated the rims with sprinkles.
And let's not forget the star of the table – the chocolate birthday cake. Decorated with sweets and more rainbows. The great thing about this is that the birthday boy or girl can help bake their own cake. But make sure you prepare enough cake mix – from our experience, little chocolate lovers will polish off half of it in secret :)
