Mince

1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 tbsp oil
200 g minced meat (beef)
1 tsp sweet paprika
¼ tsp salt
a little pepper

Filling

1 tomato
2 gherkins
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp ketchup
80 g grated mozzarella

Dough

800 g pizza dough
a little white flour

Buns

1 egg
1 tbsp sesame seeds

Bake

3 gherkins

How it's done

The kids can help at the marked areas .

Mince

1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 tbsp oil
200 g minced meat (beef)
1 tsp sweet paprika
¼ tsp salt
a little pepper

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Add the meat, brown for approx. 2 mins. Add the onion and garlic, sauté for approx. 3 mins., season, transfer to a bowl, leave to cool.

Filling

1 tomato
2 gherkins
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp ketchup
80 g grated mozzarella

Dice the tomatoes, halve the gherkins, cut into slices, add both to the mince. Add the mustard, ketchup and mozzarella, mix.

Dough

800 g pizza dough
a little white flour

Shape the pizza dough into a roll, divide into 12 equal portions, shape into balls. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pieces of dough into circles (each approx. 12 cm in diameter).

Buns

1 egg
1 tbsp sesame seeds

Place 2 tbsp of filling in the middle of the dough, shape into balls, press firmly, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Beat the egg, brush the buns with the egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake

3 gherkins

Approx. 30 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 200 °C. Remove, allow the pizza buns to cool slightly on a rack. Cut each gherkin into 4 pieces. Insert a toothpick into each piece of gherkin, insert into the buns.
