Potatoes

1 kg mealy potatoes
4 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
2 garlic cloves

Garlic dip

200 g crème fraîche
2 tbsp mayonnaise
¼ tsp salt

How it's done

The kids can help at the marked areas .

Potatoes

1 kg mealy potatoes

Cut the potatoes lengthwise into approx. 1 cm slices, cut into fries approx. 1 cm thick using a crinkle cutter.</kids

4 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
2 garlic cloves

Place the oil, garlic powder and salt in a bowl, add the potatoes, mix, spread onto two baking trays lined with baking paper. Add the garlic.

To bake

Approx. 15 mins. in an oven preheated to 200 °C (convection). Remove the garlic, turn the fries with a spatula. Cook for a further 15 mins.

Garlic dip

200 g crème fraîche
2 tbsp mayonnaise
¼ tsp salt

Place the crème fraîche and mayonnaise in a small bowl, squeeze the cooked garlic out of its skin, chop finely, mix in, season with salt. Serve the garlic dip with the French fries.
